The MusicianShip is growing, and we are looking for a Music Production Instructor, Digital Media Arts Instructor, and Site Coordinator to help us inspire, educate and empower youth in Washington, DC. Music, digital arts professionals, and educators who are self-motivated and have experience working with groups of youth will be an integral part of moving our mission forward.
Our Summer Digital Media Arts Instructors and Site Coordinator will focus on providing youth with innovative and educational summer digital media arts programming that includes an introduction to digital art and production tools, storytelling, and socio-emotional learning. This team member will report to the Education and Artistic Development Specialist or the Education and Community Programs Manager. In addition to serving as the lead educators for their program sites, Digital Media Instructors will be supported by Site Coordinators who will handle the administrative requirements of the program and DCPS teachers.
About the Summer Program:
Digital Arts Media Summer Camp – Middle school students with a passion for arts and technology can take their skills to the next level by enrolling in a Digital Media Arts Summer Camp with DC Public Schools. The half-day, four-week program is a fun-filled, active, and engaging summer learning experience that introduces students to digital art & music forms, new ways of learning, and the joy of creative discovery. This whole child-centered camp will be an opportunity for students to create rich storytelling projects by interweaving digital art, animation, music, and technology.
