Jazz in the Round: Marc Cary

Jazz pianist Marc Cary will be the first performer in Jazz in the Round. This intimate performance from the award-winning artist will be a solo piano tribute to one of his mentors, Abbey Lincoln. Mr. Cary will perform two sets “in the round” beginning at 8 pm. Tickets are $20 per person. This performance is a co-production of the Sandy Spring Museum and dnd studios.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
