Bomba y Plena en el Museo

Cultura Plenera returns to Sandy Spring Museum in 2024 with their best programming yet for Bomba y Plena en el Museo. An afternoon full of Puerto Rican culture, with emphasis on Afro-Puerto Rican music known as Plena and Bomba.

This event will feature “Los Sapos del Caño” in their return to Maryland after decades since they performed at “La Fiesta del Exilio” for alumni of the University of Puerto Rico (Mayagüez Campus)! And in the spirit of education, this Bomba y Plena en el Museo will include activities for the younger generation. So stay tuned for those special workshops.

Please note that this event will take place inside the museum rain or shine. and will most likely sell out early.

Advanced registration is required for this event and Registration will close after May 29th in order to support proper planning by food vendors.
