Drawing for Beginners and Intermediates

Acclaimed artist Vian Borchert will be teaching an onsite and an in-person Drawing art class this upcoming Spring starting in late April at Glen Echo Park in Glen Echo, MD. The class is on Friday mornings form 9:30AM till 12PM.

The class starts on April 28, after Spring break and runs for 6 sessions till June 2, 2023. Learn the ABC’s of drawing from making lines to shapes to shading. Drawing mediums from charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, and colored pencils are utilized. Demos of line marks and shading are presented. Course covers a variety of studies such as still-life from fruits to flowers and more. Designed for beginning and continuing students. Come along on this creative experience and learn the skills needed to draw like a pro.

About artist and art educator, Vian Borchert:

Vian Borchert is an established artist exhibiting in the US and internationally. Vian is a Notable Alumni from Corcoran GW University. Borchert exhibits in museums and key galleries in major cities like NYC, DC, LA, London. Borchert’s art is in embassies and collections worldwide, along with vast coverage in publications from the Washington Post to 300 Luxury Magazine. Borchert is an art educator for over a decade in the DMV area teaching fine art classes in drawing and in painting at Glen Echo Park’s Yellow Barn Studio. Besides being an artist and an art educator, Borchert is also an award winning poet and has extensive knowledge of art history due to her education and working in world-class museums.
