: Where Mathematics, Philosophy and Art Converge in India. This lecture will explore the religion, philosophy and mathematics behind Indian kolam painting. Light refreshments and a reception will follow the event. This program is being held in conjunction with Sanathana, a two-month long celebration of Indian Heritage in Montgomery County.

During our visit we attended an Open Studio session, visited the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center and saw “The Sky’s the Limit”.

We visited Alliance Comics in Downtown #SilverSpring to highlight their expansive collection of comics and graphic novels. They offer comic reservations, have a comic buyback program and even open an hour early on Wednesday for new releases. It was a pleasure visiting #AllianceComics and picking up a few $1 comics to jumpstart my collection.
